The Revelation Painting
La Pittura di Rivelazione

Artist Statement
Religious: I cannot say that I am religious but I can say that I am learning to make my own decisions.  THE REVELATION PAINTING has been a twelve year consumption of my life.  Although I have created other art in the interim, nothing compares to the magnitude of this painting.  Please watch this page for updates not only related to THE REVELATION PAINTING but other new and exciting works of art!

ARTIST STATEMENT
If you and I were one, would we cry the same tears, or light up the world with our smiles? I strive to provoke a reaction from the people who are not much different from you and I. When you look at my work, I want you to smile, laugh, think, and cry. Longing for the human response and the ability to reason, and to realize that we are so much the same, and not so different afterall.

The Glitterpeople started as just bones, and like us, developed skin. Their sparkling personalities can do no less than make you smile or laugh, and always remind you of someone you love! Every painting depicts the sparkle of the spirit in our human nature.

The Cryers’ tears fall in a puddle on the canvas, streaming down from the eye, evoking a true sense of sadness, which we all have known. The tears themselves have an illusionary wetness which brings to life this sadness.

Real-haired women have human or synthetic hair which brings a portrait to life. Some collectors are amazed with the realism, and some are frightened by the idea of using hair on paintings, but nevertheless, all are fascinated!

I try to incorporate common and not so common items of our everyday lives which creates a sense of unity with the painting; a deep sense of understanding that will take the viewer to another dimension. In visiting that dimension, perhaps a global understanding will arise that we all live in a world not so far from your own.
